Google Panda Update – What to do if your pages have dropped | SEO Training UK - Search Engine Optimi

The latest Panda Update has affected 12% of search results some sites have seen a 50% drop in visitor numbers, Ouch. We have just seen the effects of the Google Panda 2.2 Update here in the UK. If you have been hit here are some tips on what you can do about it. As you will already be aware SEO is not an exact science and the goal posts are changing all the time. Also it will probably take about three months for you to notice any difference as this is the average time period between most of the major updates.

According to Matt Cutts himself:

“This update is designed to reduce rankings for low quality sites—sites which are low-value add for users, copy content from other websites or sites that are just not very useful. At the same time, it will provide better rankings for high quality sites—sites with original content and information such as research, in-depth reports, thoughtful analysis and so on.”
